Ballroom, Latin & Sequence Dancing For All

Eve Wright School of Dancing (est 1960)
Based at Wanstead House Community Association

About Us

Your principals

Mrs Janet Fox A.ISTD BB, LA

Mrs Sandra Nicholls L.ISTD BB, LA, OT; QTLS; TAQA; M.SET (DBS cleared)
Eve established her dancing school at Wanstead House in 1960. Eve was an Old Time Dancing Champion and had danced and competed all over the UK.

She offered the full range of Ballroom, Latin American and Old Time/Sequence Dancing and tuition to children and adults, for either medal tests or social dancing.

To bring dancing to the community, she worked closely with the local Councils and Adult Education Services to deliver classes in numerous locations across London.

Her moto was ‘Walk in; Waltz out”
Your current teachers all started with Eve at a very early age and progressed through all the medal stages, competitions and going on to gain a full compliment of dance teaching qualifications with the ISTD, the top dance Society in this field.

On top of this, some of our principle teachers also hold full teaching status QTLS, enabling them to teach in schools.

We have continued in Eve’s footsteps, by offering community classes, with our local councils, monthly social dances, and, most importantly, continuing classes and dances at Wanstead House.
